As CNA’s annual meeting came to a close, the chain of office was transferred from Claire Betker to Nova Scotia nursing leader Tim Guest. CNA welcomes its new president!
CNA released a report titled 2020 Vision: Improving Long-term Care for People in Canada that calls for decisive action to respond to the staggering effects COVID-19 has had on our health-care system, economy and lives.
The CNA board of directors led over 50 engagement and dialogue sessions and met with more than 1,000 regulated nurses throughout the fall of 2019 and in early 2020. The board is seeking additional feedback about how to best meet the needs and expectations of our current CNA members and what additional benefits would appeal to nurses who have not yet joined.
As part of our focus on leadership development, CNA has created the Canadian Academy of Nursing. It’s dedicated to celebrating and supporting nursing leadership and administration. CNA members who want to develop their leadership and management skills are eligible to become members of the academy.
